im not 100% positive, it looks like it might have broke, but i havent put it on stands yet to see. i was looking at my IAC/ACT, trying to remove it rather, and noticed my dip stick flopping all over the place. i was frustraited, everytime something gets fixed, something else is right there looking at me.
not sure if the time and money i put into it will pay off. if i were on the east coast id scream lemon...

the dipstick should be able to be pulled out rather easy. if it was broken off it wont have those ribs on the end and the tube will be crimped there is no way it could just brake off clean like that i bet it just came out

i noticed it was broke when i was trying to take out my IAC/ACT because it runs rich, it has ran like **** since i got it.
i wouldnt sell this car becuase of something dumb like a broken dipstick. i am no mechanic and i cant really afford to do what i want to with this car. its just problem after problem after problem.

i can see it from up top, i lent my jack and stands to a friend and i fortunatlly cant fit underneath without.

Take a 3/8" wrench and take the bolt out of the header where the dipstick is held on. Then just pull it up. That is one way to check it.

The dipstick tube is kinda pressed in. From the bottom you can see it pretty good. Get the right size ez out and tap it in with a punch from the top. From the top with an extension and the right sized socket you can work it out of the block.
