ebay MAF conversion kit?

RE: ebay MAF conversion kit?
Looks good to me except you need 24lb injectors for it. My conversion kit came with a computer harness piggyback, so I didn't have to splice any wires like you are going to have to do with that.

where did you get that kit at? i don't want to splice any wires and such. the wiring is somewhat mested up right now and i don't want to make it better. i plan on upgrading to some bigger injectors as well. just looking for something simple.

I was going to say you should go and ask vristang what his thoughts on that conversion kit are. He knows a lot about the mass air meters and such and could probably give you really good information. I bought my kit off of ebay. It was the kit that ford sold for a mass air conversion. Since I've just upgraded the MAF to a C&L one, but kept the mass sensor, computer and the piggy back thing.

The black piggy back to the left and below the computer is what I have. You just plug your mass air meter connector into that, which is sandwiched between the computer and your main harness connector.

Sorry, I don't have a link or anything like that for just the piggy back thing. But here's the kit I bought 3 years ago. http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...1&comp=LRS Looks like they upped the price on it ALOT, it was 500 something when I was looking for one, managed to get one off of ebay for $330. I would say either keep hoping for ebay to come through with something nice. Or buy that one you were looking at and splice the wires. Either way, I would PM Vristang or something and ask him some questions. He seems to know a lot about all this mass air stuff.

Feel like I'm coming in late in the game...
If you are going to run 24's, the best way to do it is with the X3Z 93 Cobra setup. What worries me about this kit though is the 80mm MAF. I believe the 93 Cobra had a 70mm MAF, which would mean the 80mm is an aftermarket unit. The reason for running the X3Z setup with 24's is to avoid aftermarket MAF meters, which tend to be less accurate/precise when compared to Ford units.
The advantage of the other 2 kits mentioned above is that they are 'plug and play' and they will retain factory Ford MAF accuracy standards. You won't have idle issues with a factory Ford sensor.
If you are willing to do some digging around in j/y's then a 70mm MAF could be found on a couple of vehicles which will work well with the A9* computers.
This approach will take some wiring work though, as you will have to splice things together...

Unfortunately all of the kits will be pretty pricey. $500 or more.
If you are willing to learn how to splice and solder, then you can do the job significantly cheaper.
Have you collected any of the MAF parts already?
Has the motor been modified in any way?
We need to know what we're working with before picking a direction to go in...
