what is this part?
is this the fuel cut off switch or what? it was right behind the drivers side tail light. it says on one side, ford PBT and E7AE-9341-AA and the other side says first inertia switch made in usa 9063 V404E3. there is a button on top that goes downand it is red. here are a few pictures. the last one is of the top.

RE: what is this part?
i have no idea what the hell it is. came off of a '91 lx hatchback. my gt has something like it in the same spot but its somewhat different. does anyone know what it is? or where the fuel cut off switch is?

RE: what is this part?
it just goes down and you have to pull it back up. i think its the fuel cut off switch but i don't have a manual to check. it came off my parts car. my gts fuel pump isn't getting power and i am wondering if its the fuel cut off switch but not sure.

RE: what is this part?
that is a inertia switch, so if you get hit or something it turns your fuel pump off. push that button to reset the connection... mine kept tripping for no reason so i just jumped a wire across but if i get in an accident i need to remember to turn the key off asap. it should be located in your trunk on the oppsite side of your driver side tail light...
