Default f*cking tranny wont go back in

Igot all my junk together, new flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and all back in, and went to put the trans back in the bell housing, got the input shaft through the pressure plate, through the clutch, and through the flywheel, but now it needs to go another 1/4 of an inch in before i can bolt it in to the bellhousing..so im guessing it hasnt gone into the pilot bushing, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it to go in? Ive wiggled it, twisted it, and turned it in every way possible and cant seem to get it to slide into the pilot bushing. Im so stressed please help! Thanks.

Check on the top of the motor, the wiring loom probably fell down and its stuck between the block and the bell housing.

stick the allignment tool back in there and make sure it still ligns up
when I first did mine I let the trans rest on the clutch before I got it in all the way and it mis-alligned the disk

have someone push the clutch pedal down and relase the plate once the input shaft is through the clutch. when you need that extra quarter inch just have them push down. i had the same thing when i put my tko in. good luck.

+1 Once you get 1/4 inch to go have someone push the clutch pedal in.. It will go right in.

you can also have a friend stick the drive shaft on the end of the tranny and give er a twist while you push the tranny forward.....

the transmission is already through the clutch... he only has a 1/4" to go

Doesnt anyone ****ing read!!!!

press the clutch and push the trans in, itll slide in smooth. What happens is, the clutch alignment tool does not PERFECTLY line up the disc, the disc sags slightly while putting the pressure plate on. By pressing on the clutch, and releasing the pressure plate, the disc will move freely, and will make room for the input shaft to make its way into the pilot bearing!
