Sounds like a small project.
But for 1200 canadian dollars its worth it for parts alone.
If you have the time to put into it grab it.

buy it! just steam clean the interior and swap the parts you need from ur car or just the entire interior. sell the hood on ebay and put ur green one one it for now til you paint it. replace the battery, change the fluids, replace the clutch cable, replace the starter solinoid (the black one on the fender) its cheap, and you prob need to replace the front springs and shocks mabe the tires, and give it a nice tune up too (plugs, wires, cap/rotor, etc). give her $1000 canadian or what ever cash. and if it the tranny thoes are cheap. so idk for like $2200 including the car you should have a nice 5.0

there is a good chance that it could be fine. you said that they didnt seem to kno much about the car so the clutch cable prob just snapped and they figured it was the tranny lol. alot of people are idiots when it comes to cars. but def good luck with it she def should take $1000 cash for it. i hope to hear more reports about it

Hmm I noticed in the trunk of the car is a part, possibly the rear differential? The casing kinda looked like a smaller version of the tranny, One end had like a 4 inch long about 1 inch thick shaft coming straight out and the other end looked like it had a pivot/swivol thing that as far as i know looks like it connects to the drive shaft. Would this be the rear diff? And if so do you think that maybe the guy who had the stang already tried some work on it before giving up?

Well i got a mechanic i know to take a look at the car. He tried to start it by taking a screwdriver to the side thing in the engine bay and touching the 2 parts to engage the starter. But the starter is seized. He tried moving the motor by pushing on the belt, but it was really really stiff and barely moved. Also its a trany sitting in the trunk ( i was WAY off lol). But the lady said she has no idea about the one in the trunk if it works or what. Also theres a crack on the hood near the sun roof that appears to be bondo. Do you guys think if the motors been sitting for 2 years and the starters seized if it will be able to get going with out too much money? Should i still go for it? The mechanic said if i dont get it he'd buy it for parts for that price.
