B&M isn't my choice in converters.

Lots of others out there like TCT who's setups are on some of the best stangs racing now, and then othersuse PA, etc. PA is always at the meets and usually have some deal for stang club members too. Try and find a company like TCT or PA who only does trannies because they'll be able to help you out better with your app, mostly because they have been around now for a while and their at the track, with sponsered cars so they'll know what is working and what isn't. Racing probably isn't what your looking for, but these comapnies that I mentioned to have street apps avail.

The torque converter is a good addition. It can really help get your car out of the hole. If your gonna drive it on the street, pick one that doesn't stall over 3000 you probably wont like it very much. Also remember that with the additional slipage it creates additional heat.

ive hard alot of good things about vigilante torque converters, i was going to get one for my auto 97 Z28... but then i came to my senses and traded it in for a 5spd street machine that's not as breakable as a chevy.

a convertor is a good investment...it will help you in the 60ft area the most as you wave by to the 5 speed cars. anything more than 2500 and it's driven mostly on the street will take most of the fun out of it..as far as heat thier right to a point...use synthetic trans fluid and the biggest trans cooler you can find and deep sump pan will also help .be sure to put a "good" shift kit in it you should be able the chirp 1-2 & 2-3 shifts. those along will give you 2-4 tenths
