Used cams...
So I've got the opportunity to get a used B303 for next to nothing. The only real description I've got is that it's "in great shape."
How do you all feel about used cams? I can probably get it for $50.

RE: Used cams...
Unless a lifter seized up, roller cams don't usually show or develop much or any wear. I bought my E cam used and you couldn't tell it had been run.
Just b/c of the work involved, I would look for a better cam than the FRPP letter cams. They work and they will be an improvement over stock, but TFS and Comp have newer cams w/ better lift/duration #'s than the letter cams. The TFS Stage 1 is a great cam and is usually easy enough to find used......

flat tappet cam - dont reuse unless its going back in the same motor with the same lifters and everything was kept in order....
roller cam - unless its fragged it should be fine, if ANYTHING hit it with some emery cloth or steel wool for a quick polish
