im buying a 1980 mustang for 100$. it dont have the doors or front clip.. But the whole back of the car is good. hatch is perfect. it has the v6 in it. I was wondering what is the transmision that is in it if it is stock? the guy said he thinks it is a c6 if so would that fit my 302. Also will the hatch on that car fit my 89 mustang? and does it have the 8.8 rear end in it? if so what gears would it have?

Gears would depend... I would say check the door tag but its obviously not there. Jack the car up from the rear and find out by rotating DS.

Also, a C6 is a heavy *** trans... I thought they were only used in trucks? I definetly could be wrong though.

also there is no way that car has a c6 if there is a v6 in front of it. It's a C4

I would just take it apart and sell it. I was thinking about starting something up like that where I just buy run down foxes and part them out but I dont think I could live withmyself sending 5.0's to the junkyard to get crushed every month
