Hey 5.0 guys. I have an opp at getting a straight but gutted interior 86 coupe for $300. It's a v6 but i would put in a v8 of course. Is this worth it? The car is in primer and is arrow straight.

i would think so. I paid $300 for an 85 4cyl with no motor or trans. granted it did have an interior but i ripped it all out anyway. are you looking to make a race car or pro street car? My other car that im going to build will have a sheetmetal dash in it. much easier to work around then trying to put gauges in a factory dash!

it will be a very stripped down drag car/street car. i'm just wondering how expensive a used 5.0/trans and rear will be.

take it while its still there especially if theres no rust. check floors bottom of doors, deck lid and rockers
