Default Smog pump delete...what length belt do I need?

I would go outside and just use a string but it's icing/sleeting/snowing like hell out there right now. I've got a 92.25" belt on right now with all of my accessories...what size should I go down to? Adv. Auto has 90.5", 87.5", 86", and 84.5". What do you all think? I'm thinking 87.5" cause it'll shorten it 4.75" and any extra slack the tensioner could pick up. Thanks guys.

they use a 84.5 inch belt, but many people on this forum who have done it use the 85.0 belt. good luck. hope that helps

I don't need to route it a different way, just bypass the pump 'cause it doesn't change the direction at all. Your image is broken too...

Whats an 850K5? Thanks!

Also, I'm using a water pump pulley from an '86 which is a little bit bigger, requires about an extra 1"-1.5" of belt length, so I'm thinking an 87.5 will do the trick.

Your talking about just literally bypassing the smog pump. That’s how I have it on my mustang. When I get out of work, I will get the belt length/number for you.

Yeah, I'm taking the pump off. Are you using a stock water pump pulley? What time do ya get off work?

I asked the same question a few months ago and got 10 different answers. Everytime I went to the parts store and tried them... none of them fit lol If I were you I would just go and buy a few belt and try them. Start with the smallest one and work your way bigger. Than take the rest back.

I have a 90 GT with no air pump....NAPA part # 060837
I am running everything else...and stock pullys
20mm X 2140mm
You will need to run belt a little different from stock routing

How so? Any diagram or pic available to show how it needs rerouting? Thanks!
