I have seen new speakers blow out because the idiots using them didnt know how to properly setup an audio system.
BTW.... just so you know.... POLK aint great!

is this a coaxil or component? if its a component make sure the woofer didn't come loose from the crossover, if its a component the mid is probably blown... i would check the connection first.. that would tell you alot. digital multi meter is your friend too
