No. The MAF sensor and the housing in which they are installed are calibrated from the factory to work together. If you just put theGTsensor into a larger housing it wont be accuratelymeasuring the amount of air flowing through the larger housing. This will cause it to send an inaccurate signal to the cars computer which inturn will cause the computer to incorrectly calculate engine load. This will inturn cause the car to run like s**t. Thats really as simple as I can explain it.

Not to call you a liar, but I have always heard differently. I always thought you could reuse the sensor on a larger diameter tubing.. hmmn... anyone else chime in on this one?

As I understand it, the sensor can be put on any size housing you want, but a re-tune of the computer will need to be done for the reasons given above by Chitown. Also, the calibration tube in the housing must be correct for the size injectors you're using. Too many people just change their housing size, T/B, heads, injectors, etc. and don't think they need a dyno tune... this is why there are so many complaints on here like, "I've got all these upgrades and my car doesn't seem to be the pavement pounder I thought it would be. What did I dowrong?" Answer: You didn'tinformthe computerofthe changes you made... bone-head!

the stock gt sensor is what i have on it now. its not a 70 is it? ive gota cobra mass air meter that i had on it at one time with the 24 lb injectors and it was to much fuel for it. and im about to put a 70 mm t body on it and thought the stock gt mass air meter would choke it. so i was just wanting to swap sensors with housings.
