fuel injection caborators swap

I have swapped 5.0 fuel injector to a carborator is there anything that i need to change besides intake manifold and carborator. Other modifications are MSD system, no head work and no bottom end work. I am getting a light back fire through the carborator or a light pinging sound when under a load. Please help any help will be appreciated. Please help my 5.0 Mustang!!

Can give more info if needed.

Why on earth would you swap to carb on a "stock" motor?
