Default MAF sensor Question

I plan on supercharging my horse in about a year or so, but as I look at the blower set-upsI cant seem to locate the mass air flow sensor...is it eliminated or relocated?

Default RE: MAF sensor Question

What is the "ideal" set up on MAF sensor, T/body, and EGR plate if the intake has a T/B opening of 75mm? I have a 75mm MAF sensor? should I go with 75mm T/B and Plate or 70mm?

Sizing wise it is generally accepted to keep the MAF a little larger than the TB.

It doesn't need to be much, 5-10mm would suffice. You just don't want the MAF to be the choking point in the inlet tract.

No, if your using a 75mm MAF then its best to use a 70mm TB and EGR (hence the 5mm smaller that vristang advised). You'd need to be building some serious HP before you'd "need" to use a 75mm TB on a 5.0.

As for the MAF question, as stated earlier the MAF is still used in supercharger applications. I mean how else would the cars computer measure how much air the engine is using? As for location, IMO you shoulduse a Draw-thru MAF set up (like just about every supercharger company on the planet, besides Pro charger, uses). That is where the MAF is mounted to the intake side of the superchargerrather than the outlet (boost) side.
