I put in 5 quarts of 10w30 and my stick shows right at full... i know this doesn't help any but just my .02

My dipstick never seems to read correct. I put 5qt's in regardless.

If you've got sludge build up in the oil pan it can decrease the amount of oil that your pan will hold. I have the same issue with my dipstick,4 qts. and it reads full, I dunno what gives.

because you have one of those engines that had the wrong dipstick in it....mine has the same dipstick which reads overfilled with 5 qts...I just made a make for 5 qts. this issue was in a stealership bulletin

not one fox body that i have owned has the dipstick been right with five qts in it it always read a qt over so i just made a new line on the dipstick problem solved

When you guys do your next oil change, fill it up with 4 qts., take a file andmark the dipstick and that's your low mark, put 5 in it and mark it and that's your full mark.
