ther isn't play in the thottle shaft is there? cable isnt damaged is it?

Maybe you got a bad spot in youre throttle cable that is getting hung up on.

alright well, ill just take off my throttle body and check it. Ill try greasing that linkage too. Im going to have to wait till tomorrow though. Probably have to go get another gasket. I disconnected my cruise control linkage and that helped so it would make sense that the throttle linkage was gummed up somewhere. Diving into a speed density to maf conversion tomorrow so hopefully ill have it fixed by then.

Yeah Nasty,
It would be best to fix this issue before moving on to the conversion.

hey, well i did the conversion without fixing the problem and the coversioin seemed to actually fix it. im using a ap9 (automatic computer) in my manual. Ive felt noticable performance gains, thats all i can say for now. I have trouble in first gear cause i only have single traction. I start out about 15 mph and i still burn through the gear if i go WOT. well thats it for now.
