Four banger springs would likely hurt your 60' times. You want a lot of rebound in the front to provide assistance with weight transfer. Softer springs in the front will not provide a lot of rebound. Stiff in the front, soft in the back is how you want it. I'd just man up and buy some FRPP C springs. You get your drop and keep good handling characteristics. Got 'em on mine. Haven't been to the track yet but it grabs good on the street. NO wheel gap with 245/45/17's. You can't get one finger between the top of the tire and the inner fender. Rides like a logwaggon but I can have you plastered to the door in a corner before the tires even peep.
Other way around... The loaded springs will help your front end come up on a launch and stiff rear springs will allow you to plant the tires.

Adam, are you a member of SSOTN? If you are, hit up Rel3rd, he had a couple of fox bodies w/ 4 cyl spring on them. I'm sure he can hook you up w/ pics.

Wrong, stock 4cyl springs in the front are ideal for optimal launch. They are almost unbeatable and arein factprobably the best choice. Remember anything a/m will have to be chopped up alot. Guys talk about slashing at least 2 coils. Great springs for the rear are stockrear V8 springs theywill work great compared to anything else.Cmon goCoilovers
