Default explorer id?

so when i go to pick n pull how can i tell what year explorer im looking at ....im looking for the gt40 heads as well as intakes

on the door you might be able to look at the vin and information right there... i dont know.

there is a white sticker under the hood that tells the year as well, but the door tag will tell you the actual production date....

oh and Dthompson... please dont spread anymore gt-40 mis-information

GT-40 heads are 96-97.5 explorer/mountaineer
GT-40P heads are 97.5-2000

Thats not correct. Did you even read adder's post. You need the 96-97.5's with a 5.0. Otherwise they are not gt-40's but gt-40P's
