I am also looking for a T-5 and that is pretty much an average price. Most are selling for $300 to $700 for used ones without problems. And $650 to $1300 for partially or completely rebuilt ones. I'm still hoping to stumble on some tranny guy locally who can repair mine before swapping something else in. I like keeping things somwhat original. I am not positive but I believe you would need the bellhousing from the 94 in order for that tranny to work on your 91 though or you have to replace the input shaft which is slightly longer to compensate for the longer s-95 chassis

You are definately not going to get a "new" tranny for $500. You are absolutely nuts considering a used tranny that you can not test drive...there is a reason it is no longer in a car...don't be so cheap..go an get a rebuilt tranny wth a waranty..

Iv'e seen two with under 100k go for under $250. I have no job and I am in school so yeah, I am cheap.
