do the gt40 heads from a 94 cobra have the same specs as gt40 heads from an explorer?
is $200 kinda expensive for the 94 cobra heads?

the gt40 are iron and have 1.85/1.54 valves i thinkand the gt40ps are aluminum and have different valve sizes i know exhaust is a 1.46 or what ever factory size is on e7 heads and usually gt40 heads go for around 300

Same heads.

Edit: now that I think about it, I'm not sure if the combustion chamber is the same size or not. At least on the '93 Cobras, the chamber was 64cc, as opposed to 65-6cc on the Exploders. You can get the same effect with Exploder heads by milling them down a bit.

I think the combustion chamber on the cobra heads are smaller, the cobra heads are better from what I here, as long as they are not cracked or anything. 200 bones sounds good for cobra heads.

Both heads are cast iron but they are different indeed I just put a set of gt40p's on my stang Ill let you know how they do if i ever get it started lol I know the gt40p need a different header and they do not have smog holes in the back. i got my gt40p's from ebay for 299.00. good luck

you are right.. just a little more fact on it that even though the P's have smaller exhaust valves they actually flow better on the exhaust side then the regular 40's do.

'96-'97½ Explorer GT40 heads (F1ZE) = 63-66cc chamber, 1.84"/1.54" valves
'97½ -'01 Explorer GT40p heads (F77E) = 58-61cc chamber, 1.84"/1.46" valves
