what is the difference between a valebody and a valvebody with a transbrake...which would you recommend??? my mods are in my sig and i plan on doing suspension mods-shocks, struts, rear CAs and getting a new converter for the future....also if i bought a valve body w/ transbrake would i need any new mods, like 31 spline axles?

Well the big difference is that one has a transbrake and the other doesnt.

The transbrakeplaces the transmission in first and reverse at the same time,thus "braking" the transmission and preventing the car from moving forward anymore. With the transmission locked by the transbrake you can nowrev the enginetowhatever RPM you want to launch from, say 3000 RPM.Once you get it to 3000 RPM, just hold it there until you are ready to go. When you are ready to launch, release the transbrake and floor it.

Unless you are going to do some serious racing, you really don't need the transbrake.

a trans brake is the hardest thing on a tranny second only to neutral drops. your tranny has to be built for the brake, its not something you just bolt in. i have one in my aod but havent used it yet since the motor isnt tuned.....hoping to change that this week.
