Hey brady pretty good times. Glad to see you picked up 3 tenths. How was mason dixon prepped? Capitol was prepped pretty good today but there were about 5 cars that wrecked or broke down so we had a ton of time lost because of that.

Drga radials wont help as much a you think on a mostly stock 5.0. (ask dimebag) it takes hp to get through the 60' with stickys. You should take the $300 it cost for DRs and get pulleys T/B or save up for a h/c/i. Short belt is always good for a tenth also. Remove front swaybar is good to. 4 banger springs?????

Good times, but I think they could be better. Not to bum you out, but I think something might be wrong with your set up. I have an '86 Capri... rebuilt the motor back to stock (200hp) and have pulleys, K/N filter, Mac offroad exhaust and 3.55 gears... that's it. And I'm running consistent 14.30's at about 1000' above sea level. You have a '92 (225hp) with 3.73 gears and your best was 14.56 at 500' above sea level? It doesn't seem right... you have a 25hp advantage, better gears and closer to sea level. You should be getting better times than that. This is not meant to sound negative... I just really think there is more to be had out of your car, you just need to check over things and find out what might be keeping you from running quicker.

Drag radials will def help even on a stock car. He can drop the hammer and not have to worry about spinning!!

Vig, congrats man. I'll be seein' ya up there soon I hope.

It will bog..... when my car was stock. with gutted onverters and removed silencer, I put on slicks and gaind only a tenth. Like I said, ask dimebag what his DRs gave him. You might be able to dump the clutch, but it will bog when the rpms match the tires.

I was running on drag radials, Mickey Thompson ET Streets. I have a few more tenths to let out, I know it.

Zach - it was prepped pretty well. We also lost about an hour due to people blowing their cars up on the track...one honda blew its motor up at the end and they took 30 minutes to clean it up. Grats on your 13.7 too!

Kwik - sure you don't want to share more secrets?

Capris - I said in the original post that I was spinning off the line on my best run.

Austin - I don't know what the hell you're talking about but without my drags I will literally light the rear tires up all the way through first.

I guess I should list out what I have on my car and what is waiting to go on, lol.

me and my buddy wentto thebama raceway this weekend, his 02 gt with basically a cold air intake, 4 gutted cats with stock h pipe and lm1's welded in ran a 9.42 on his first run and a 9.18 on his 2nd in the 1/8th mile.

how come with all this "'92 GT - 5 speed, Flowmasters, BBK X pipe, 3.73 gears, Gripp short throw, Mickey Thompson ET Street radials, 100,xxx" my friends stock gt with horrible gears is running a faster 8th?
