ORIGINAL: Chitown racer

Personally I thinkboosting the fuel pressure much past 40-42 psi to compensate for a lean condition pushes the stock injectors past thier intended duty cycle.
duty cycle is the amount of time the injector is open, not how much fuel the injector flows. there is a reason that fuel regulators will allow as much as 65psi. 42psi is stock, and on a boosted motor, a good rule of thumb is to run 1psi of fuel for each pound of boost. on my motor i run 51psi of fuel. 42psi stock + 9psi boost = 51psi fuel pressure. its to compensate for the pressure inside the manifold that wasnt there before the sc.

anyways, what size fuel pump are you running. after a h/c/i its time for a new fuel pump. the stock one cant flow enough

Default RE: Fuel Pressure adjustment question.

i believe its the stock fuel pump i was thinking about upgrading to a 155 lph does that seem enough? so even though my motor is basically an explorer motor i need more fuel because of the cam and more power? so the adjustable fuel pressure regulator won't do anything for me?
