They make 240hp stock but a measly 163ft lbs of torque. They redline @ 9000 and if are high up on revs, and on cam, they move out pretty well from a roll. Get him from a dig like the others say and don't blow a shift. I've been looking to take one down myself...

yea they way like only a ton or so... a few hunderd less that a fox
Those guys can only wish they were that light. Or that powerful. The truth is 2855 lbs curb with 237 hp from a 2.2L engine (2007 specs). A nice enough engine in a chassis that's about 1000 lbs too heavy.

Not much lighter. Ever since they came out I've been less pleased that they weighed about 1400 lbs per liter than I've been impressed by the fact that the engine makes110 - 120 bhp per liter NA. First saw them up close at the Philly Auto Show some years ago. Overall, probably not a bad ride at all. But my wife flat-out hated the piece of lateral structure that crosses in front of the seats and sticks up above the floor.

IIRC,Honda's original target was ~2400 lbs with something more like 200 - 220 bhp. But when the weight bogey was badlyovershot during development they ended up squeezing a little more power out of the engine to compensate. IMO, it was much closer to being right as originally conceived.

2250 is more like Mazda Miata country.

Norm's right: 2001 S2000. I always thought they were lighter too. Still, a 14.1 quarter's not bad at all, but their handling is where it's really at. I like how even Honda goes rwd when they set out to make a real sports car.

the honda S2000 is pretty nice my buddy had one for 3 years and it was a fun car to drive. High RPM butt not all that. And it could handle! Then another buddy let me drive his S2000 with a comptech supercharger and some other adjustable Vtech stuff... Now that was F@^&IN Fast

it will roast u if ur close to stock

gears would surely help

exhaust/intake on those cars and they push 260-ish hp no problem...

my buddies 93 civic coupe only weighs 2400 gutted.. but it onlky has like 130-140hp (exhaust/cai/ricer stuff/etc..) not sure how fast it is in the 1/4 but its pretty quick for a n/a sohc 1.6

They are very fast from a stop a go.

Dig him at 30 mph and have fun, keep the paddle to the floor. 240 hp and 160 torque, thats not to the wheels either, but the weight makes up for all that.

They rev VERY FAST.
