I was just curious if anyonecould tellwhat gears I have in mycar...I ran a 12.70 @ 109 and I went through the traps right at redline. That pass was with a stock motor, kenne bell supercharger, street tires, and exhaust. Ive got an 88 GT 5 speed. I bought the car with just exhaust and gears so I have no idea what gears were put in the car. This winter I took the stock motor out and put in a 331 stroker, so im going to have to change the gears because I plan on making close to 500 hp. Im assuming I've got 4.10s in my car now, if I got 3.55's would I be able to trap @ 120ish in the 1/4 mile before running out of 4th gear?

You can jack the car up and mark the tire and driveshaft, turn the wheels on full rotation and see how many times the driveshaft goes around

it think 120 in fourth is the max in 3.55's

if you feel that you're due for a gear oil change, pull that cover and rotate that ring gear around, the ratio will jump out and go BOO. Then you'll know 100% for sure.
