Got our rematch on!
We had to go from a 45 punchbecause we were on the Interstate and had big rigs and commuters clogged up. But it was a GOOD race!! I had a little for Spec down low, he had a little for me up top. It was a dead heat up to about 130, then that big 346 started streching its legs, but we were running into traffic. It literally could not have been closer. Video is coming this weekend from Spec. Here's how gp remembers it from a few hours ago:
We roll out on I-80, gp in the lead. I'm thumping along at about 40 up on the cam in 3rd and hard on the stick. Spec and his three-toothed hag of a cameragirl (ha ha - NOT! you should ALL take notes from Spec on how to choose the cinematographer) come along side ready for the Horse and the Bird to bump uglies. Big rig and a commuter are coming on strong, so we don't have time to contemplate. Three tooth gets the go ahead from Spec to roll tape, cause I look over my shoulder and her pretty lil face is behind the flip out LCD screen and the red light is a-shinin'. I give Spec the stub finger and three high salute for ready set go, and that's exactly what he gives me.
honk honk honk and AWAY WE GO!!
Spec gets a nose on me at the jump, but as my 3rd starts playing through, I'm dead nuts with him at 5 thou. By the time the Horse is revving 6 large, I have the nose back plus a little. I see spec out of the corner of my eye grab a gear cause the Bird's beak dips a little, and I get another foot or two from him on the shift. I absolutely nail the 3-4, so I get to keep my 4 feet.
As my fourth approaches 6Gs, it's a dead heat. At 6,500 I catch 5 and the Bird starts getting long legged and itgets a beak back on me.
We're touching 130 and lap cars ahead are getting real close very quickly, so cooler heads prevail and we decided to see if we have as much whoa as we do go. We did.
Here's where it gets even more fun: We slow down for traffic like the law abiding citizens we are [&:]and this ricer b!tch does a flyby and Tyler bites hard. Rolls up on his cornhole, dropping back and consistently ramming his ls1 **** in the ricer's fart cannon exhaust, then as things open up, passes him like a cheap burrito. And that's on tape too!!!
Be on the lookout for the rematch vid. It sure was better than the original.

RE: Groundpounders #'s
One thing I will say, nobody destroyed anyone. It was as close as it could have been. If we would have had nothing but open road in front of us, then that big ls1 would have had its gears and cubes take over...
From a dig with drag radials ( I have 245-45-17 Sumitomos in it [&:])........................
Now I'm REALLY wishing I would have went with that 93 octane tune with more timing. 15-20 more rwhp would have made the diff![:@]
Ah well, this was a good run, no two ways aboot it.

Nice #'s!! Congrats!!!
For anyone thinking abouta tuneafter some major mods, always a good idea. It gives you confidence of worry free gear bangin' and always gives up extra ponies!!
