Default My car won't move

Sometimes when I first drive my car in a forward gear, it feels like something is holding the car, and then a pop from the rear end and it moves normally. It only happens the first time I try to move in first. When I'm driving around, it never does this again for some reason.

Does anybody know what this could be?

if you use your e-brake id guess your rear brakes are sticking. If not id say you have a rear end problem. Might need to check out your u-joints and the inside of the diff.

kind of sounds like a e brake issue or sticky brakes... that is if this is a manual. then again you say "forward gear"so that might suggest auto... Other than it sticking does it have any other trends? Does it happen at the same point every time? meaning every time you hit 15 or 20 mph it pops?

Ya,If you use your e-brake the cable maybe sticking It sounds like the rear brakes are locking ,you may need some WD40 spray,,,,,,,,,,Good Luck!
