What type of hose to replace the fuel vapor lines?
I guess that's what they're called, i have a 96 explorer motor and it has a hose coming off a vaccum line on the upper intake manifold then a plastic vacuum clip i think and then a small hose that goes to a black canister on the left side of the engine. I noticed mine are really cracked and when the engine is running the hose is flat and theres no shape to it. Do I use regular fuel line or vaccumm line? I'll take a pic of it tomorrow to show u guys what im talking about.

Use a rubber hose made specifically for fuel lines or a thick/hard emissions hose. Dont use the softer rubber like windshield washer lines as the heat will destroy them in no time. I once needed a replacement vac line at a metal fitting under my upper intake so i grabbed what i could find, a washer hose. Bad idea. The washer hose i used burned right thru at the metal fitting (melted is a better term) which took a while to find where that leak really was.
If your hose is cracked you may as well check the others to.

ok is this where all the vacuum lines go theres 3 at the back of the manifold one goes to a vacuum tree on the left fender the middle one goes to the fpr, and then theres a third one that goes to the tree on the right fender. PCV valve is hooked up there is one more hose coming from the front of the manifold to a plastic connecter where the frayed hose is. my setup is funny since its basically a ford explorer motor.
