will this tranny work and is it worth it?
found it on the internet. this is exactly what he posted.
This is the more desireable of the AODs for 3 reasons: It is the
1. beefiest (1 extra clutch/band) of the AODs for towing
2. shortest and will fit where the car version might not (custom car)
3. mechanically shifted AOD overdrive transmission, (NO COMPUTER NEEDED) for EASY, classic car conversions (Mustang, Falcon, Fairlane)
It has been mechanically disassembled and machine shop cleaned
Fits 300six, post-65 289, 302 and 351W motors.
I sent it to a shop to completely clean the case and
to rebuild it for a 1966 Mustang project that never happened.
would it be a pretty good tranny? he wants 125 for it and i can drive up and get it.and would it fit my 89 lx 5.0? thanks!
