just throw the T-5 in there.. and swap the computers.. the wiring is all exactly the same..well almost anyways.. the airbag cars i think have different headlight harnesses.. but thats none of your concern.. if his car is a MAF car, then just take the kick panel out, and swap the computer.. and your like a crunchy spicy melty cheesy gordita crunch wrap.. good to go!

+1 Pedal assemblies, plug in new computer, cluth cable, tranny. It isn't that bad buddy of mine did it.

im still running the old automatic tranny computer in mine with the t-5 installed and i have no problems other than codes saying theres problems with the automatic tranny thats not there anymore.

everything will swap over. you'll need the backup light harness from your t-5 and a new speedo gear and pedals of course but it's easy as pie. done this swap twice and each time it gets easier and easier.

keep the aod computer it has a better fuel curve than at-5 computerand you will run into no problems at all. you need very little for this swap. ford made the aod and t5 cars with little changes to save money on making specific parts for the trans setup.
