Default Swaping motors...

Hey all,

As you all know I crashed my car. Rather then fixing the body, my next door neigbor has a 89 gt Vert. And im just gonna swap over my motor and parts.

My question is, my car is a 5 speed and his is a auto. Will everything still bolt up the same? Will the computer wiring matter?

i have never done a 5spd conversion so i won't attempt to go there but will be doing it this summer.

if there both gts i don't see how wiring will play a factor. everything should just swap over though

5speed computer will not swap over to the auto computer. If you have an auto you will need to have an auto computer.

The A9L was used on manuals, A9P on autos

you shouldn't have any problem, the wiring for the 5 speed is in the car, under the carpet, all you need to do is plug the 5 speed harness into it and your good to go.

this should help you out http://www.allfordmustangs.com//Detailed/25.shtml
