Default Fuel Rails

ok so i cant get the fuel rail disconected and i need them off because i wanna put them on the engine before i put it in the car does anyone know how to get them off?

ok so i got the tool and i must be doing something wrong because i cant get it off and its a pretty simple tool so i have no idea what im doing wrong

You know, I was having the same problem, when I was pulling my motor. You just gotta be persistant at it. My brother who is a mechanic got all frustrated and moved over to doing something else, so I grabbed the tool and used it. After fighting with it for a while I got them released. Make sure you release the fuel pressure though, that may cause a problem getting them off. Just push the tool in while pulling the lines away from each other at the same time. You'll get it.

i kno its not the proper way to do it but if you dont have the tool (and i kno you already said you did but...) you can just use a screw driver with a small tip. as long as ur carefull about it you wont damage it as i have done this myself. just look at how its held together and work it through your mind how it should come off. its pretty easy once you give it a second

haha the engine is already out so i doubt there is any fuel pressure and i guess i must not have tried long enough cause that exactly what i was doing

you actually supposed to pull the line forward into the tool then push the tool forward and pull the line off. takes 2 seconds, if its not rusted or broken.
