Default RE: shift kit

Automatics were built for luxury cars and therefore were made so you didnt feel them shift which is caused by slippage.A nice smooth flow into the next gear. Unfortunately that slippage creates heat and eventually kills the trans.

A shift kit firms up those shifts and takes some of that slippage away and as a rsult, some of the heat. Youre trans will last longer. With a shift kit youll feel the shifts and depending how good it is you can chirp into 3rd gear. I could.

Shift kits can range anywhere from $40 up to $100 or more. Depends on the year and application.

A good trans cooler will help a lot to.
