Hey guys. Got an 85 LX hatch..(drawing below) and I've relocated the battery to the rear in a new Taylor battery box. when I took the old tray out i was shocked to see the Rust that had set in around the battery. You could actually press in with your finger and poke holes in there. So i took out my dremel tool and cut a good 8X9 hole out of the side where the rust was at. Underneath the tray is pretty bad too.

How would you go about fixing most of this....I plan on taking some aluminum and bondo-ing where the old battery was for a smooth finish but what about the part that looks like a box frame? I can take some pics tonight when i get home....I just hope its not f'd up beyond repair!
