Default Torque box

Before i weld on my subframe shouldI run a weld around the torque box seems? The factory spot weld are what i am talking about. Then weld in the torque box adapter then subframe?

+1 on that idea. Welding them in is preferred, but bolting them in will do the job also.

Yeah i have the steeda full length that come with the torque plates but should i weld the factory spot welds before i weld the torque box plates on?

i have the upper and lower torque box reinforcements like 92hatch posted, and also these plates that came with the subframes. theyre not going anywhere

I welded the spot welded overlapped metal that the factory torque boxes are made up of, before I welded on the reinforcement plates. I just felt it would help prevent them from peeling apart on hard twisting lauches, especially since the frame connectors will transmit load at these points. Definately doesn't hurt to weld up any spot welded seems in these unibody "squeaky" cars.

No they don't look like that just a small plate that sits on the bottom of the car. was hoping to just weld the seams and put plates on i not making crazy hp

i did this with a stock motor3.73 and et streets never question getting reinforcements for a second just do it is well worth not having to go through the trouble of finding a roller or another car for 75 bucks
