clutch alignment question

Default clutch alignment question

i know you need to use a clutch alignment tool to make sure its in the center of the pressure plate and stuff but how do you line up the splines from the tranny????

i just held the tailshaft and rotated it until it slipped in.

he put the tranny in gear, and held the back of it.. turned the tranny until it slid in

Yeah, that's how I did it about 2 months ago when I had to replace mine. If it doesn't line up, back it out a little, spin the output a bit and re-insert... it'll slide right in.

i meant i lifted the tranny into place and when i was sliding it into the bellhousing i rotated the tailshaft until it the tranny slipped in smoothly
