still cant get it to work
i bolted the bellhousing to the motor like you guys said....we almost had it in but when we tried to slide everything onto the shaft it pushed the clutch fork out of alignment and screwed everything up....anyone have anyway i can do this?

You have to be careful and manuever it gently. I just put my tranny back in by myself w/ a floor jack 2 weeks ago. You should grease the inside of the throwout bearing and where it touches the clutch fork as well. The input shaft should slide in pretty easily after that.

T-5's arent heavy... lay under the car with your head under the motor, and the transmission on your chest, then lift it up and into place. you should then be able to lift one knee up and the tailshaft should rest on your leg easily...

I always put my T-5's in by hand I guess you can call it. I crawl under the car, set the trans on my chest and just bench it up. Theyre fairly light so this is easy.
At any rate, you NEED to have the trans in line perfectly with the motor. Aside from that you should be able to line the clutch fork back up by hand or with a screwdriver. I usually hooked up my clutch cable and that usually holds it in place pretty well.
