AOD/AODE

RE: AOD/AODE
i beleive the aode and 4r70w are the same. the main difference is that the aode can electrically turn off the lockup feature of the transmission. an aod locks up in 3rd and 4th whether you want it to or not

RE: AOD/AODE
AOD is non eletronically controled LOL...up to 93'
AODE is eletronically controled...it shifts different than the aod...as far as holding the gears and what not. (from what i understand but i could be a tad off.) 94'-95'
the 4R70W is in the 96' up i believe...its a wide ratio where as the aode is close ratio.
