Default my project

i just picked up my first mustang for a hundred bucks with the 2.3 with a blown head gasket. im going to swap out the four banger for the 5.0 but instead of replacing the wiring harness and the computer, im not going to have a computer. im going to make the car completely mechanical with an edelbrock head and holley carb. a buddy of mine did this in his car even though it wasnt a mustang (80's camaro if you wanted to know) and like him i hate computers. all you people can have fun with your computerized s**t im going old style

thanks. one thing i was wondering though is will i need to reinforce the frame? some people have told me that the 4 banger model is lighter and might need to be modified to take a 302, but others have told me it should go right in with no problems. anyone here know about that? and if so what will i need to get in the way of reinforcements?

you will have no problem with clearance on your swap its actually a very easy swap ive done them you can use a stock oil pan and as far as the frame no you dont have to stiffen it at all if your going to build your motor than you should look into sub frame conns in fact you can use your stock susp also
