is it worth spending money on a cold air intake and a full exhaust system or am i going to spend all that money and only get 3 or 4 hp. i was just wondering if i will get any noticable gains.
i also heard that mustang v8s got a solid gain in gas millage after a cai and exhaust is that true?
im a collage student with not alot of monay so i was just wondering.

If something allows your car to make more power (without being a 'power adder') then what it's doing is increasing the efficiency of the engine. More efficient = more power = better mileage, IF you keep your foot off of it.
Generally the added efficiency is negated because there are more good noises that we like to hear more, so the foot goes deeper into the throttle and worse MPG is achieved.

long as you stay reasonable within your intended operating range . you be fine with what you are getting as long as it isint to drastic or you start missmatching parts . in other words dont get like 2 inch primaries going into a 4 inch exhaust . lol . go ahead and get it you will be fine .

Yeah...that helps with gas milage.....all that extra weight from the stereo equipment.....
Why don't you just drive your metro or CRX instead? Those things can last months on end without filling up.
