The "GT" I recently picked up is confusing me. The Title says it is a Cobra, but it looks like a GT to me. It already had aftermarket rims on it, so not sure about that, but it says 5.0 on the side, no cobra, the rear bumper reads GT.

I ran it under carfax to see what it says, and it is telling me

1993 FORD MUSTANG GT/COBRA GT Body Style: HATCHBACK 2 DR Engine Type: 5.0L V8 SFI
So what exactly do I have? Is there a way for me to look in the engine or something to figure out what I got? The color is Blue on top with the grey vallance on the bottom.

Not 100% sure, but it sounds like you may have a "Cobra GT." Which is the same as a GT. It's the Canadian version of the Mustang GT, but they called it the Cobra GT for some reason.

Sounds like you got yourself a Canadian GT. They were titled as GT/Cobra, I forget which exact years though. But it is exactly the same as your normal GT.

It is a GT, on my insurance it says gt/cobra like your carfax. Carfax all of our cars and i bet they will say the same thing. The color is wrong for a cobra anyway

does it say COBRA on the driver side on the back side of the Hatch accross from the FORD symbol ??

Ford did that to keep the Cobra name alive, so they wouldn't lose copyright on it. That's all.

my car has never been a canadian car but it says cobra gt also mine is a 91
