So over the course of building my car I plan to buy everything new, to replace the stock equipment. I was looking through Summit and I saw that they offer the Cobra R Tremec 5-speed tranny. I was wondering if you guys thought that this would be a better investment than the T-56, and if any of you have used it, as I want to know how bad it would be to install. It would be going in my 95 GT, which already is a 5-speed. Not happening right away, but even though it doesn't make a horse gain doesn't mean it doesn't help in the long run.

It should bolt right in. I believe it's the same thing as a TKO600.

dude the t56 is as close to bullit proof as ur gonna get. they sit behind terminators makin 6-700 rwhp all day.

with upgraded input shafts, for the price you cant top a tko

yea the tko is a pretty tank tranny stock. of course you can get a trans built to handle more but then you can also do the same for the tko. im goin with the tko-600 myself right now from an AOD. if you're gonna go with a 6 speed the only one worth the swap, IMO, would be the viper spec t56
