You don't usually get answers in 10 minutes. Most of them come throughout a day or two. Get an intake before a cam, if your engine can't breathe you won't see much of a gain from it. What's your budget and future plans? How far do you want to go?

No sense wsting money on an intake if he's going to get a KB. At best, he'll just get a GT40-style lower.

As far as teh setup goes...if you can afford it then go for it. Looks like it would produce some nice numbers.Just two things to suggest: If you're still using the stock tranny you may run into some problems. it's not exactly the toughest one out there. Also, you may want to grab a good set of drag radials if you're taking it to the streets (slicks otherwise) so you can get some really good traction and launches.

yea, well first i know you usually dont get responses that quickly, i was just making sure my post wasnt overlooked like a few of my past ones have, thats all, now I didnt want to buy a whole intake until I decide whether or not i am going turbo or kenne bell, kinda leaning towards kenne bell at the moment...and if that is the case, all i will need is a gt-40 lower intake manifold or just the stock one if i go just blowzilla, so i dont necessarily need one but i know it will help breath a lot better. Now thats what ive been heaing about the trans also samseed, that it will blow apart..any suggestions on a tougher tranny, something that will hold 500 rwhp? and i already have a set of mickey thompson et streets on a set of 10 holes waiting to go on

There are a lot of options out there that will hold up to it. But personally, I have always been fond of teh Tremec 5-speed tranny. It's rated to about 600 foot pounds of torque and it's the same tranny that Ford used on the 1995 Cobra R (with the 351 engine.) Of course, I'm just a fan of that trranny because I love the 1994 / 1995 Mustang and I REALLY love the 1995 Cobra R. I'd love to get my hands on one of those, lol.

But that's just one example. You can get a new one for about $1,800 or so. Basically, jus tlook around and find a tranny that can withstand some HP and some TQ and you should be all set.

The one I was refering to is a stronger tranny. Kind if like the AODE's in the SN95s. They came with the AODEs, but you can go out and get a tougher aftermarket version of one. But for the Cobra R, I believe they used a tougher tranny in that one straight from the factory.

You can always go with the G-Force tranny so you dont have to change the bellhousing and crossmember to get the tremec to fit.
