Eibach Lowering Springs?!?!?
Hey. I've got a 1990 5.0 Mustang LX. I want to lower the car with the SportLine lowering springs by Eibach. I called some places and they said that tire size could be a problem. The SportLine springs lower the car 2.3" in the front and 1.7" in the rear. I have BFG Radial T/A's in the front which are 245/50/R16's, and in the rear I have Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials which are 255/50/R16's. I'm pretty sure the rear end would work but what about the front? If someone could please let me know if this will work i'd greatly appriciate it. Pic's of your rides lowered would be awsome to. Thanks a lot!

the tires should work as long as the offset of the wheel is right....personally...i had eibach's on my 87 T-top and hated em. i have Steeda sport progresive springs on my 89 and it rides sooooo much better!

Go with the Eibach ProKit.....It will give you everything you want from springs....plus a more aggresive look.
My buddy has Sportlines and he bottoms out all the time....I have never bottomed out (knock on wood

If your buddy had the matching shocks designed to work with the Sportline kit, it should never have bottomed out. I have the Sportline kit on my car with the Eibach matching shocks and have never had a problem. It handles like a roadrace car and I love it. It's definitely more aggresive than the Proline kit. The Sportline kit is a constant rate spring and the Proline is a variable rate spring, so if you're more interested in race car handling over comfort then I would highly recommend the Sportline kit.
I left the rear polyurethane spring spacers out because I wanted the car to sit level. Theyare included in the kit and are an option to install. The tires that you have chosen should fit fine. I pretty much have the same size tires on 17x 9 Cobra R style wheels and they fit just fine with no rubbing or bottoming out.
Here's a side view of my car to give you an idea of the stance.

That is cool that you have the Eibach Shocks/struts....That is what I really wanted, but instead I went with Tokico's....
Another thing that you want to think about is Caster/Camber plates...I needed themwith my Prokits, so I would say that they are a 'must' with Sportlines...
