<FONT face="Times New Roman, Times, serif" color=black size=2>Hey, i just turned 16 last month and get my licence in one more month. My dad bought me a 1990 lx 5.0, i have slicks in the basement from the old stang he used to race. and thats about it, and, im very broke until next spring, but over the winter i want to do some work to it. i was wondering what are some cheap things to give it a little more power, but not things that will be weird for driving it evetry day becasue it is going to be an every day car with a little extra to smoke the ricers around here. i just payed to get body work and a pinatjob and also a cd player, amp, and sub so im broke.. what are some parts you would suggest to get. also what are some internet sites that are good, preferably canadian ones.. ive been looking through my muscle mustangs fast fords mags but i dont know whats the best things to buy. also i know you hate this question but do you know how much hp a stock 5 speed lx would have? thx</FONT>

i would guess about stock power (depending on mileage) is right around what your car is. That's 225 at the crank. In MM&FF they always ask this question. Gears rock (3.73's are what I got), mufflers are fun but not a lotta power and cost some money, you could advance timing to 13-15 atdc, take out the intake silencer, and place a k&n panel filter in the airbox. How much $$ you working with?
