would this change value?

blown head gasket, my friend really wants to buy my 5.0, but it has a blown head gasket, would that decrease the value of the car considering it apparently is a bitch job?

Not a bad job...but I wouldn't pay the same for a car that didn't run right.

Fix than sell it. Gaskets cost around $60 and new bolts ar $50. Get your heads redone for $110, so for $220 you would be all set again.

I would never pay what a car would be worth in great running order for a car with a blown head gasket. You don't know how long he over heated it, why the gasket blew. You could be buying a car that needs a motor. If he hydro locked it he could of bent a rod or even rods depending on how many cylinders are effected. I would take 1000-2000 off what hes asking but thats just me.
