Default axle dampner

I have a 94 mustang gt with 315/35/17 deep dish wheels in the rear that have clearance issues with the dampners.I recently flipped them and can still see rubber marks on them. I was wondering if this is a common issue and if it will cause damage to my tires. Also are their any aftermarket axle dampners that won't rub thanks.
