gas sticking

Default gas sticking

so i was showing my car to my friend and when i was accelerating hard the gas stuck but not the petal and the rpms shot up and wouldn't go down so i had to shut my car off. no idea what it is but it's pissing me off cause it's happened a couple of times.

check your TB. i have had a wire get pinched under it before. also make sure your floor mat is not making your pedal stick... i know you said its not the pedal but just check it because its so dumb it just may be the answer.

this happend to me before.

there are two screws holding the throttle plate on. the top one snapped meaning the throttle could move forward but not backward.

dont ask me how it happend.. but it did

I don't have EFI, but isn't this a problem with BBK throttle bodies? Or is it another brand? What t/b do you have?

well at first i kinda didn't mind cause if i shifted fast enough i would power shift without even trying. but then it kept happening.

my typhoon t/b use to do that but I sprayed the the butterfly w/ wd40 and also the springs in the lower part of the t/b and problem no more. I never had that problem w/ my bbk, its these $hitty typhoon t/b
