hey guys new yo the forum.problem im having is i have a 94 cobra bone stock and my 2 friends have a srt-4 and a wrx-sti and they are kicking my ***.i was going to get 3.73,headers,full exhaust,pulleys,cold air,and a tune.iwas wondering if this would be enough or should i just do a gear and nos.i have 3000 to put into the car.trying to find a good shop in san antonio

You will still need injectors and fuel pump still with either kit
but it's relatively close to your budget.

Gears with the turbo kit too will really let you hang with them

go turbo if you can but if not sell those gt-40 heads and get some AFR's or canfield or something nice, gears, cam, etc you will smoke those cars, but if you can afford the turbo go for it.

If your buddies are stock, its a drivers race against the SRT4 as you sit.Sprayand gears would be the cheapest setup fora subaru kill....need to break into the 12s.

the suburu can take a 03 cobra down, you need to make about 160 more hp to the wheels just to keep up. gears, cam, good heads and you still lose.

with all your mods you have planed you might make 20hp after the tune, and the gears will get you 3 tenths or so. the neon will still win.

Stock 95 cobra runs the 1/4 in 14 flat. The 03 SRT4 does it in 14.1 while the 04 hits 13.9. Its a drivers race assuming all are stock. Both will take you at the 60 but you will catch up in a 1/4.

Stock 06WRX STIruns the quarter in 13. Not sure what stock gears in the 95 cobra were but if he is running 14 with 3.08 gears, 3.73 and some healthy spray should close that spread up significantly.
