overdrive not working

overdrive not working
well i was driving home and on the freeway
i put my car into drive and gave it a little gas
then went to shift it back to overdrive
and it was like it was in neutral
im guessing i burnt it or it's messed up now correct?
what do i do to fix it?
get a new tranny?
rebuild?

Sounds like the OD band is toast. It's quite common. Gonna have to have it replaced. Might be a good time to get a new tranny if you have been thinking about it. Or perhaps a rebuild with a kevlar OD band.

mmk well my graduation is tuesday
and ima have a party on saturday
so ill see how much i get haha
then i was thinking since it wouldnt be too hard
to swap a tranny
maybe buying me the super streeter from performance automatic
only around 1400 so idk
